Misbehaved with girl after getting drunk, attacked woman police constable and nurse; 64-year-old man taken into custody

THRIPPUNITHURA: Police have taken into custody a drunken man who assaulted a woman police constable in the middle of the road and later a nurse at the Taluk hospital. Kureekkad native PS Madhavan (64) was taken into custody by Hill Palace police.

According to the police, Madhavan used offensive language and assaulted woman constable NK Rejimol, who was on mufti, when she questioned him for misbehaving with a girl near the Kizhakkekotta bus stop on Tuesday evening. Madhavan, who fell unconscious after this, was then taken to the Taluk Hospital. After waking up at the hospital, he kicked Nursing Officer G Divya's face with his foot. Following this, the Hill Palace police took him into custody. The injured policewoman and nurse sought treatment at the hospital.
